You are too expensive! I hear it all the time and although I use to be terrified to hear this, I realized that maybe whoever is saying this is not my ideal customer. There is so much work and time that go into my business that no one ever sees. The fear of this was so big that when I would do in-person events, I would look at the people that would come up to my booth and throw out a price that I thought they would be willing to pay. At the end of the day, I would kick myself because most of the time I wasn’t making anything from that sale sometimes I would even be losing money. For a small business like mine, every penny counts. So, before you say this to someone let me quickly walk you through the process. There is time spent picking and choosing the best quality items so that you can possibly wear your product time and time again. Personally one of my favorite things to do is as soon as I get an order, I rip it open, and I want to wear it that day you best believe that if I am in love with it I will be washing it and wearing it again as soon as I can. Just ask all the jeans that I have worn to death.

I also understand that I get all my products wholesale which means that I get them at a lower price from a manufacturing company. According to popular belief, I get the items at pennies on the dollar. Which couldn’t be farthest from the truth. Especially with everything that is currently going on in the world and with how prices have gone up on everything this has also affected the prices of wholesale. I am a small business and as much as I would love to bring you big box store prices for the type of quality that I offer this is not possible. If you have noticed some of these big box stores have hiked up their prices from what they once were and the quality that they are offering doesn’t match up. But with proper care, you can bet that the products that you purchase from Caelis Boutique will last you longer than you expected.

Another thing that must be taken into consideration is everything costs money. I know that you may be thinking well that’s not something that I want to concern myself with. But it is something that I must pay attention to because everything adds up and eventually takes you to the red. We pay for the tags, for the vendor space, and for the business cards for that little extra gift that is added to your bag that I know is not necessary but it’s our way of saying thank you for your support. The most expensive thing that we offer is our time. This as many know we can never get back. So, for every post, picture, description, video every order that is packaged everything that we do we have taken the time and dedicated it to you with the hopes of making you smile.

We are not trying to get rich from one sale we are trying to keep this business alive. We are trying to build something that can be around for a long time somewhere that you could put your trust in for decades a place that you know that you can trust that no matter the issue we will make it right for you. And that’s why our prices are the way they are. If you still think that our prices are too high, then as much as we would love to serve you we are not the right fit for you.
